Woodbury Corporation, a full-service real estate development company, today announced that it has completed an environmental renovation project designed to bring more energy efficiency to University Place in Orem, Utah. It has also completed a $1.4 million solar panel project on the roof of its main offices near the mouth of Parleys Canyon in Salt Lake City, Utah.
At University Place, Woodbury Corporation partnered with Hunt Electric, a full service design- build contractor that specializes in electrical infrastructure, and solar design, installation and commissioning. Hunt installed over 100 SunEdison 320 Watt solar panels, as well as over 7,500 linear feet of electrical infrastructure to enable future development. By converting a portion of energy use to solar energy with the construction of this 35-kilowatt array, University Place will reduce its greenhouse emissions by more than 70,000 pounds annually.
