Come celebrate the 2026 Lunar New Year, the year of the Horse!
The Horse’s symbolism as part of The Lunar New Year is strength, freedom, energy and success.
People born in the year of the horse are believed to be adventurous, warm-hearted and independent.
Lion Dances are a traditional part of the celebration of the New Year and symbolize power, wisdom and bring prosperity and good luck to the New Year.
During the Lion Dance it is considered lucky if one is touched by a lion.
If you would like some extra luck for the new year, “feeding” the lion with a lucky red envelope is supposed to bring good luck and is also considered a donation for the martial arts troupe setting up the performance.
